HERMES POS is a Multilanguage
Windows based cash register which runs on windows operating systems
windows 98 SE, NT, 2000 and XP. HERMES is focused on open source
databases like MS- Jet or SQL in headquarter and MS-Jet on the cash
registers in the shops. The base for our extremely high data integrity
is the storing of all transaction data in flat files.
HERMES POS is a modular based System which is substantially composed of the two program parts “Connect Server” and the proper cash register “HM-POS” which can be started on the same or on individual computers. Apart from the main data adjustment and the interface programs the Connect Server also includes configuration modules as well as central analysis functionality. The HM-POS part is responsible for the cash register functionality and the additional modules for cashless transactions, time registration, store statistics, inventory etc.

Payment module connected to an electronic payment terminal allowing amount operations and automatic day-end closing. Possible to integrate to HM POS as payment server. Appeals to a multitude of terminals. Actual list of supported terminals (soft– and hardware terminals) is con-stantly upgraded. Connections to the following countries: D, A, CH, HU, SLO, CZ and success-fully certified.
Central program for automatic transfer. Allocation of master data, sale data and updates. An interface to the ERP is set on the server. According to specification of the interface: Eradication of the interface on Batchmanager. Execution of a Delta replication. Client application serves for an automatic data telecommunications control at the cash desks and incorporations of data replicates in local data sources.
Additional module for the Connect Server. Enables online transaction booking. Provides transaction data directly to the ERP.
Extended update program for updates on each level with cash desk response.

The WebInterface TASE is available for searching in addition to the local search engine. TASE is a MS-SQL-serverbased, central archive for transaction data from all cash desks (also crossnational). All transaction data is saved in this database. TASE enables a central search including the use of a comprehensive filter, sorting possibilities and a graphic invoice view. Meaningful reports and exports can be drawn from the database thanks to the additional SQL state-ments.

Periods are free to select. Active tables can be printed out by Windows standard printer or you can use the POS printer. You also can copy the selected data into the clipboard and take it over in other applications like MS Excel)
Product range statistics are scaleable to reports per day, salesperson, turnover by district, weekly report and the product ranges. This gives information about gross turnover, average discount, turnover and number of customers each product range. Share of sales by brand as measured by overall turnover. Also the average purchase each customer, average positions/receipt and the number of items each customer are displayed. Last/actual year analyses also can be reported.
All analyzes can be selected by subsidiaries, branches, product range. For every day of the selected period turnover, num-ber of customers and number of items is reported; the rate of turnover by product range is represented on screen.
If time recording is used, the time database is also available for analyses.
The statistic per sales person shows the turnover each vendor and the number of custom-mers/vendor per service hour (opening hours).
The weekly statistic shows the average utilization of each sales person considered by number of receipts and average turn-over/hour.
For the whole period turnover and Customer frequency is measured every open day and the midpoint is displayed. The table is split in half an hour cycles.
The Hermes Software standard offers comprehensive statistics, which can be accessed from any workstation. The provided webstatistic-module also enables the access on company figures from remote workstations, without local software installation. The graphic user interface provides not only the required figures, but also the corresponding charts – and all this in real time (Live Ticker).

Cash register systems continuously evolve from simple cash desks to consulting or help desks and even to information points. An additional color TFT flat screen provides, beyond the conventional cash desk functionality, the possibility of displaying extra product information or commercials, and above all even moving screen animations or videos. This is in particular relevant and attractive to those cash desks with dual display option.
Hermes Software offers a distinctive and integrated customer management tool. In addition to the conventional functions such as a global customer search, locally or via network, and automatic transfer to the invoice, customer installation or customer change, the system also allows, by means of an Input Browser, a free definition of additional fields, which are automatically saved and, if desired, synchronized with downstream systems.
Little refinements such as phonetic name search or online duplicate crosscheck facilitate the work of an administrator, and avoid useless data and delight the user.

The back office module emerged as a further development to the existing back office functionality. The target group contains franchise partners of Hermes’ clients, who do not have a direct connection to the ERP system.
An exact distinction between parent company and franchise partners is possible thanks to the multiclient capability of the system.
Thus, the tool represents a universal platform for inputs and management of back office functions (customer management, product management, ordering system, electronic de-livery notes, storage location etc.), whether it is a mother company or a franchise partner.

Originally planned as a voucher management system, the open item management server has developed into a powerful tool for managing and evaluating open items such as prepayments, vouchers, credit vouchers, clientbonuses. With the corresponding WebInterface, the open item server is not only accessible from any cash desk, but also from any PC (for example accounting or auditing). The standard interface enables the connection to an external system such as Web-Shop.
In this Web Solution, vouchers can be cashed and reserved. The administration interface enables filtering and management of open items including the corresponding history.
